Position Summary:
The Internal Control Compliance Analyst plays a vital role within our organization, ensuring that all departments adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies. This position is crucial for identifying and managing risks associated with compliance frameworks. The successful candidate will foster strong communication between business process owners and the IT department, providing timely and accurate information to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Internal Control Compliance Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying control deficiencies and proposing risk mitigation strategies to avert audit complications.
  • Engaging in risk assessments alongside IT, internal audit teams, and business process stakeholders.
  • Evaluating existing internal control procedures and suggesting enhancements or new controls.
  • Assisting in the design and development of compliance tools and methodologies for SOX.
  • Monitoring control risks during IT project implementations.
  • Collaborating with Business Process Owners in the control remediation process.
  • Facilitating meetings with business and IT teams to promote best practices within the IT landscape.
  • Participating in system implementations and aiding in the design of financial and IT processes, including assessing the IT control environment and developing internal controls.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, with preference given to candidates with Big 4 experience.
  • Experience in Internal Audit or similar programs is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet creation, basic calculations, and data manipulation using MS Excel, Alteryx, and Power BI.
  • Self-motivation, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at various organizational levels.
