Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Accounting Analyst I/II/III/Sr to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will undertake complex accounting functions and provide analytical support to ensure compliance with accounting systems and SOX regulations while adapting to the company's dynamic business environment.

  • Oversee the month-end and quarter-end closing processes within Oracle EBS, FCC, and/or ARC for GAAP and FERC ledgers.
  • Establish and maintain intercompany relationships, define legal entities, and manage general ledger configurations as the business evolves.
  • Develop and maintain elimination sets and mass allocations to facilitate consolidated financial reporting in EBS.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of reports for external GAAP and FERC compliance as well as internal reporting requirements.
  • Support data integration and reconciliation between EBS and FCC for GAAP and FERC ledgers.
  • Contribute to the design and configuration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and new entity setups.
  • Conduct regular process checks in the ledgers to identify discrepancies and ensure proper system functionality.
  • Perform unit and regression testing within EBS and FCC to validate system updates and functionality.
  • Provide necessary documentation for SOX compliance testing.
  • Engage in ongoing efforts to identify efficiencies in processes and reporting while maintaining internal controls.
  • Assist in training new and existing employees on general ledger operations in EBS, reporting in FCC, and reconciliation processes in ARC.

Required Skills and Experience:
- 5-10 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Oracle E-Business Suite or similar ERP financial systems (focus on general ledger)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the energy sector
- Familiarity with Financial Consolidation and Close and/or Smartview
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence tools

Education Requirements:
- CPA or MBA preferred
