Position Overview:


The Division of Advancement and Alumni Engagement leverages resources, technology, and business strategies to engage alumni, conduct donor research, and ensure stewardship across Emory University and its Health Systems.

The Talent Management team is dedicated to supporting all departments within Advancement and Alumni Engagement in various functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, leave management, performance evaluations, and professional growth.

This role will report directly to the Human Resources Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
This classification is applicable to departments/schools at Emory University.

Administers Human Resources policies and procedures along with associated documentation for a department or division.

Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Completes necessary forms/documents, reviews for precision, and processes accordingly.

Advises or directs individuals to the appropriate personnel for guidance on HR matters.

Consults with supervisors/managers and prepares required documentation for job reclassifications and to establish and post new positions.

Assists in the creation and updating of departmental position descriptions.

Processes necessary payroll documentation.

May assist in the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets.

May oversee support staff.

Facilitates HR-related education and training initiatives within the department.

Utilizes database management, word processing, spreadsheet, and other computer applications.

Performs related responsibilities as needed.

Additional Job Details:
In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the Human Resources Coordinator may be required to:


Execute routine tasks to administer or support human resource programs, including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, compensation, leave management, employee relations, professional development, and performance management processes.

Conduct research, provide analyses, and contribute to HR initiatives, projects, programs, reports, and solutions.


Maintain accountability for the integrity of data within databases, records, and files, and assist in the preparation of both ad-hoc and routine reports.

Provide technical support on Learning Management, Leave of Absence, and Payroll Systems.

Represent the department or serve as the primary contact while collaborating with other departments across the division/University.

Manage the offboarding process, ensuring proper documentation for terminations and exit procedures, including exit surveys.

Minimum Qualifications:


A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, along with three years of experience in human resources administration, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.


Preferred Qualifications:
A strong background in administrative HR functions, with the ability to provide essential support across multiple Human Resources disciplines.

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written), with a meticulous attention to detail.

Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Exhibit a high level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality, demonstrating sound judgment and discretion. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate a complex work environment.

Commitment to delivering excellent customer service, with the ability to work collaboratively and adapt to ambiguity.


Experience with various technologies, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, mass email applications, database and project management software, and CRM systems.

Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines.

Note:

This role will offer the opportunity for regular remote work, but the individual must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs. The schedule will adhere to the agreed-upon guidelines of the department.

This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to modify remote work status with notice to the employee.
