Position Overview:
This classification serves to lead and oversee the administration of human resource functions within a small unit, focusing primarily on recruitment, selection processes, timekeeping, and managing personnel transactions.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is required, along with two years of relevant experience in human resources. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
Required Certifications:
Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the human resources unit, ensuring effective task management and completion.
2. Maintain and implement guidelines for personnel transactions, including hiring, promotions, and terminations.
3. Conduct recruitment activities, including job postings, interviews, and reference checks.
4. Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to departmental services.
5. Advise supervisors on human resource policies and assist in drafting personnel procedures.
6. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, adapting departmental policies as necessary.
7. Compile and analyze data for departmental reports and maintain confidential records.
Performance Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and proficiency in utilizing various software tools for data management.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
This role requires light physical effort and the ability to communicate effectively.
