Campus Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee campus operations in a supportive environment that values wellness and independence for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is committed to providing essential services to individuals who are medically fragile or exhibit behavioral challenges across multiple state-supported living centers.

The Campus Operations Supervisor will serve as the primary on-duty professional during evening hours, working a 12-hour shift from 8 AM to 8 PM. This role involves continuous monitoring of residential facilities, promptly addressing any unusual occurrences or emergencies.

Responsibilities include documenting nightly incidents for administrative review, acting as the point of contact for abuse or neglect allegations, and responding as the first professional on-site during critical incidents.

The supervisor will initiate Preliminary Unusual Incident Reports and conduct necessary investigations, providing evaluations and recommendations for improvements to both the team and administration.

Additional duties involve performing special audits and trend analysis to ensure the ongoing safety and service delivery for individuals in our care.

This position requires collaboration with administrative and supervisory staff to effectively coordinate service delivery while exercising independent judgment and initiative. The supervisor will report directly to the Incident Manager and must complete a Fundamentals of Investigations training course within six months of employment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Regular attendance and adherence to a specific shift schedule, which may include rotating shifts or overtime as needed.
- Serve on-call as required to meet operational demands.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of facilities, addressing emergencies and documenting findings.
- Act as the liaison with the Health and Human Services Commission for Provider Investigations.
- Provide immediate support during critical incidents, ensuring safety and effective resolution.
- Assist with investigations and compliance with relevant standards.
- Conduct audits and monitoring to maintain high service delivery standards.
- Engage in training and in-service sessions for facility staff on established policies and procedures.
- Participate in disaster response and recovery efforts as needed, which may require flexible scheduling.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understanding of ICF/IID standards and facility operating procedures.
- Knowledge of Physical and Nutritional Management Plans, Positive Behavior Support Plans, and restraint techniques.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and exercise sound judgment in challenging situations.
- Capacity to train staff effectively in relevant subject areas.
- Physical ability to perform duties that involve direct contact and extensive monitoring of facilities.
