The Army and Navy Academy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Campus Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our operations office, you will play a critical role in supporting campus security and emergency preparedness, ensuring the safety and well-being of our cadets and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sound cadet accountability and ensure the physical security of the campus
  • Work in teams and report directly to a Security Support Supervisor assigned to their team
  • Communicate effectively with team supervisors and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
  • Ensure the safety of cadets and protection of the school environment
  • Maintain staff, faculty, cadet, and patron confidence and protect operations
  • Respect and maintain the Academy's mission and values and high standards for quality customer service

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in positions responsible for safety and security, law enforcement agency, or relevant military experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and relate to students, faculty, staff, and external public
  • Possess administrative and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and acceptance of principles and philosophies of Army and Navy Academy
  • Capable computer skills (Outlook, MS Office Suite, Google Docs)
  • Ability to work independently and create and follow assigned schedules/projects
  • Complete routine, repetitive tasks, write reports, and communicate effectively
  • Approachable demeanor, healthy conflict resolution skills, excellent customer service skills, and diversity awareness
