Position Overview:
Title: Manufacturing Operations Supervisor
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually; plus eligibility for bonuses
Summary: This role is pivotal in ensuring that quality, safety, productivity, and cost improvement targets are achieved by setting shift objectives and maintaining team focus. The Supervisor will leverage the diverse skills and strengths of team members to cultivate a continuous improvement culture within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Strategically plan and allocate production staff to meet manufacturing goals.
• Support initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, cost reduction, and productivity to foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout operations.
• Train staff and assist in the selection of associates proficient in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous Improvement tools.
• Guide, mentor, and facilitate team members in achieving quality, production, material usage, and cost objectives for the shift and plant.
• Coach and develop Team Leaders and hourly leads to enhance their skills over time. Remove obstacles to empower associates in pursuing improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; BA/BS and manufacturing experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma (Black Belt) certification is essential.
• Familiarity with DMAIC or other structured problem-solving methodologies is necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse group settings.
• Ability to work in environments with machinery, chemicals, noise, and other typical manufacturing conditions. Must be capable of standing for extended periods.
