Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing and Communications is a pivotal role that reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This position is responsible for enhancing the vision of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity through strategic marketing initiatives, brand management, and public relations oversight. The SVP will play a crucial role as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, steering all external communication strategies, including marketing, media relations, and internal communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and implement branding strategies to increase brand recognition and revenue across various programs.
  2. Enhance the visibility of Dallas Area Habitat as a leader in the Affordable Housing sector.
  3. Promote impactful messaging to engage new and existing donors in collaboration with the Development Team.
  4. Lead a team of marketing experts and manage relationships with external vendors and consultants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals and target demographics.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and high performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of marketing initiatives that support business objectives.
  • Oversee the organization of impactful events and seminars to enhance brand visibility and fundraising efforts.
  • Develop engaging content across various platforms to attract and retain target audiences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to secure favorable coverage and enhance thought leadership.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to innovate and adapt marketing strategies.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Align marketing strategies with the overall direction of the organization in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Manage marketing budgets and vendor relationships to optimize resource allocation.
  • Promote a customer-centric approach in all marketing initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement digital marketplace trends to enhance marketing strategies.
  • Streamline processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure quality and consistency in all marketing deliverables.
  • Stay updated on the latest marketing trends and best practices.
  • Work with development teams to refine audience targeting and campaign performance analysis.
  • Administer the marketing budget for maximum impact.
  • Negotiate contracts with marketing vendors and service providers.
  • Maintain a database of expert contacts for media outreach.
  • Supervise the marketing department staff and manage relationships with external agencies.
  • Coordinate company-wide events and activities through a cross-functional team calendar.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of successful experience in leading marketing and branding initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess marketing performance and ROI.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant marketing tools.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media and digital marketing strategies.
  • Ability to develop revenue-driving strategies in emerging channels.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets effectively.

Preferred Experience

  • At least eight years of experience in leading diverse marketing efforts.
  • Proven track record in driving process improvements and revenue growth.
  • Experience in marketing research and web content management.
