Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing and Communications plays a pivotal role in enhancing the vision of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity. This executive position is responsible for formulating marketing strategies, brand positioning, and leading public relations initiatives. The SVP will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, overseeing all external communication activities, including marketing, media relations, and internal communications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The SVP will provide strategic direction and management in the following key areas:

  1. Developing branding and messaging strategies to enhance brand recognition and revenue across various programs.
  2. Increasing the visibility of Dallas Area Habitat as a leader in the Affordable Housing sector.
  3. Crafting impactful messaging to engage both new and existing donors, in collaboration with the Development Team.
  4. Leading a team of marketing professionals and managing relationships with external vendors and marketing agencies.

CORE FUNCTIONS

Design, implement, and manage marketing strategies aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.

  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies that resonate with the company's goals and target demographics.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure marketing initiatives are effectively integrated into business operations.
  • Oversee the execution of significant events and seminars to enhance brand presence and support fundraising efforts.
  • Drive the creation of engaging content across multiple platforms to attract and retain customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to secure positive coverage and enhance thought leadership.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to refine marketing strategies and drive innovation.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess the success of marketing initiatives.
  • Align marketing strategies with organizational goals in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Manage budgets and vendor relationships to maximize return on investment.
  • Promote a customer-focused approach in all marketing efforts to enhance the overall experience.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

  • Regularly assess digital marketplace trends to inform marketing strategies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure quality and consistency in marketing deliverables.
  • Stay updated on the latest marketing trends and best practices to optimize campaign performance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to refine audience targeting and campaign analysis.
  • Manage the marketing budget for optimal effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts with marketing vendors and service providers.
  • Supervise the Marketing Department and maintain relationships with external agencies.
  • Coordinate company-wide events and activities through a collaborative calendar.

We seek a forward-thinking and motivated leader to guide our Marketing and Communications team. This role involves close collaboration with the CEO and various departments to develop and implement marketing strategies that elevate our brand.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience with a strong attention to detail.
  • Expertise in media relations, social media, and marketing strategies.
  • Proficient in design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, along with analytics software.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret marketing data and drive decisions.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least eight years of successful experience in marketing leadership roles.
  • Experience in process improvement and revenue generation.
  • Familiarity with marketing research and web content management.
