Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
3. Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Oversee risk management initiatives, including the development of internal controls.
  • Maintain adequate insurance coverage and risk management practices.
4. Fundraising Collaboration:
  • Work with the development team to identify funding opportunities and diversify revenue sources.
  • Provide financial support for grant applications and fundraising efforts.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with internal and external policies.
  • Deliver financial reports to support the development team's objectives.
5. Team Leadership:
  • Promote a collaborative environment that fosters teamwork.
  • Inspire and mentor the finance team, encouraging a culture of excellence.
  • Support professional development within the finance team.
6. Thought Leadership:

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven experience in strategic financial planning within a non-profit context is essential. Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting standards and regulatory requirements is necessary. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams is critical.
