Position Overview

Advatix is in search of a Senior Vice President of Logistics to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in formulating and supervising the execution of strategies that support the expansion of our Transportation operations. The Senior Vice President will collaborate closely with the Chief Logistics Officer and the Senior Vice President of Operations to manage internal relationships across various functions and oversee critical third-party supplier and vendor partnerships to ensure the optimal performance of our outsourced transportation network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term transportation growth strategies that align with the overall strategic and capital allocation priorities of the organization.
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams to create tailored solutions for Advatix's diverse customer base.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition to execution through the Chief Logistics Officer, adapting plans as market dynamics shift.
  • Articulate transportation strategies, tactical priorities, and performance expectations throughout the Transportation organization, working in tandem with leadership to ensure alignment with annual and long-term objectives.
  • Investigate growth opportunities utilizing internal and external data, forecasts, and market insights.
  • Partner with the Technology Team as a Subject Matter Expert to define requirements for the next generation of Transportation Management System (TMS) Solutions.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analyses and risk assessments to evaluate the viability and profitability of potential external collaborations.
  • Identify risk mitigation strategies through effective programs that address financial, operational, regulatory, and customer service risks.
  • Strategically manage external partners with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and operational governance.
  • Collaborate with internal General Counsel and cross-functional leadership to develop agreements with external partners.
  • Work alongside cross-functional leadership to refine processes, allocate resources, identify trade-offs, and leverage our product, technology, and back-office teams to drive execution.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of ten years of experience in relevant job duties and essential functions; at least seven years in leadership roles, with a minimum of five years in senior management or executive positions.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field from an accredited institution; an MBA or advanced degree in supply chain is advantageous.
  • Experience in a private company or large business unit, particularly with complex transportation, fleet operations, and logistics frameworks.
  • Proven track record in scaling businesses with a focus on significant growth.
  • Expertise in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, along with basic data analytics capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems, TMS design and development, and comprehensive knowledge of transit tracking systems.
