Your Profile:
Are you passionate about providing outstanding care for animals? Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or a seasoned Senior Veterinary Assistant capable of organizing, motivating, and addressing challenges in a constructive and respectful manner? If you meet the qualifications outlined below, we encourage you to consider this opportunity. Previous supervisory experience is not required; we are prepared to support the right candidate in developing their leadership skills.
Role Overview:
- Lead a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants
- Supervise daily operations of the ER/CCU department, ensuring efficient patient management and high-quality care
- Collaborate with other department leaders to enhance patient outcomes and client satisfaction
- Establish and uphold protocols and procedures to maintain clinical standards and regulatory compliance
- Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a positive workplace culture and encouraging professional growth
- Exhibit strong veterinary clinical skills and serve as a role model for the team
- Facilitate training for department staff, both directly and indirectly
- Conduct regular assessments of team members' skills and knowledge
- Create monthly schedules and ensure adequate staffing coverage
- Oversee department payroll and staffing expenses, including timecard review and approval
- Achieve results in staff development, best practices (SOPs), training, client satisfaction, and safety
Essential Qualifications:
- 3+ years of clinical experience in an ER/CCU environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current RVT license - preferred
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Experience in ER/CCU specialty
Work Schedule:
- Full-time (40 hours)
- Overnight Shift
- 4/10 Work Schedule
- Flexible schedule with the ability to mentor and coach across all shifts
