Position Overview

The Event Production Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the setup, operation, and teardown of equipment and materials necessary for various client events, including corporate gatherings, concerts, theatrical performances, and special occasions. This role involves working with diverse equipment such as sound systems, lighting rigs, staging, and scenic elements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assembly and disassembly of stage and event setups.
  • Load and unload trucks, and transport stage and venue equipment.
  • Manage audio, lighting, scenic, and rigging apparatus.
  • Facilitate stage transitions during performances and events.
  • Set up and remove seating and tables from the audience area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in backstage and stage areas.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and practices.
  • Experience with equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and various tools, as well as audio/video technology is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail amidst frequent interruptions, while demonstrating flexibility and composure under pressure.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including overnight shifts.
Education and Experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in live event or theatrical production.

  • Work environment noise levels typically range from moderate to loud.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and regularly move or position up to 75 pounds.
