Job Summary

Orpheum is seeking a highly skilled Theatre Technician to join our team. As a Theatre Technician, you will play a critical role in the delivery, set up, operation, dismantling, and strike of equipment and supplies needed for client events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Production: Assist in stage and event production set-up and breakdown, including loading trucks, moving stage and facility equipment, and handling audio, lighting, scenic, and rigging equipment.
  • Stage Changes: Provide for stage changes during shows and events, including installing and removing chairs and tables from the audience floor.
  • Custodial Duties: Help maintain the stage and backstage areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, standard and power tools, and audio/video equipment.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in theatrical or live event production.
  • Safety: Excellent understanding of and adherence to safety requirements.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and/or sit on the floor. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and regularly push, pull, or otherwise move and position up to 75 pounds.
Working Conditions

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Regularly work unconventional, varied schedules, including overnight shifts.
