Position Summary

RAM Mounts is looking for a proficient and committed IT Support Technician to enhance our IT department. The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering technical assistance to users, ensuring optimal performance of desktop and laptop systems, and troubleshooting any technical difficulties that may occur. This position demands exceptional problem-solving capabilities, effective communication skills, and a strong focus on customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Assistance: Deliver prompt and effective technical support to users regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical problems related to desktop and laptop computers, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow IT staff and other departments to resolve technical challenges and enhance overall IT service quality.
  • Installation and Setup: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • User Support: Guide users through software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Provide advice on software usage and best practices.
  • System Upkeep: Conduct regular maintenance on computer systems and networks, including software updates, patches, and backups.
  • Documentation: Keep precise records of all support requests, troubleshooting actions, and solutions in the ticketing system.
  • Asset Oversight: Monitor IT assets, including hardware and software inventory, ensuring proper management and maintenance.

Technical Expertise

  • Proficient in Windows operating systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of desktop support operations and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and other standard software applications.
  • Experience with remote desktop tools and helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Experience in running network cables, installing wall jacks, and setting up switches/routers.
  • Skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading user hardware.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification is preferred.

Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required.
  • A degree from an accredited 2 or 4-year institution is preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift and move computer equipment as necessary.
  • Willingness to work occasional after-hours or weekends for maintenance or emergencies.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Compensation: $34.00 per hour
