Ground Support Equipment Technician

Position Overview:
The Ground Support Equipment Technician is responsible for ensuring the maximum operational readiness of vehicles and equipment for our clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Engage actively in the 5S methodology within the workshop;
- Perform maintenance services on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and/or Commercial Trucks in accordance with TCR's standard operating procedures;
- Ensure the safe and secure movement of GSE and/or Commercial Trucks;
- Conduct basic repairs on various GSE and/or Commercial Trucks, including electrical tasks such as replacing bulbs, switches, and inspecting fuses and relays;
- Reference GSE and/or Commercial Truck manuals for necessary information;
- Communicate with the supervisor regarding any damages or tasks outside of standard procedures to assess the need for immediate action;
Participate in TCR's Occupational Health and Safety (OEHS) initiatives by understanding and adhering to OEHS policies, procedures, and requirements; report unsafe conditions, near misses, and suggestions for improvement.
Administrative Duties:
- Accurately document work orders in the TCR system;
- Complete time sheet entries within the TCR system;
- Properly scan spare parts against the appropriate work orders;
- Inspect commissioned vehicles for operational metrics such as hours, fluid levels, and lighting;
- Report and discuss any damages or tasks outside of standard procedures;
- Complete TCR maintenance checklists;
- Capture images of repairs and damages.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems;
- Basic knowledge of electronics and hydraulic systems;
- Familiarity with various types of GSE (specific to site requirements);
- Awareness of airport regulations;
- Comprehension of maintenance planning processes;
- Understanding of critical safety, quality, and operational protocols;
- Knowledge of 5S principles;
- Awareness of local regulations pertaining to GSE;
- Understanding of customer expectations;
- Eagerness to learn and hands-on approach;
- Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering expertise and professionalism;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Integrity and adherence to company policies and procedures;
- Flexibility in approach to tasks;
- Basic proficiency in MS Office 365;
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
