Position Overview:
The Field Sales Account Executive plays a crucial role in steering the sales process and fostering profitable growth within a designated sales area, catering to both established and prospective customers. This position is essential in achieving corporate and regional sales targets, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulates and implements strategic sales plans in alignment with company directives to service current clients, secure orders, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Builds and nurtures customer relationships by gaining a comprehensive understanding of their operations and establishing a consultative partnership.
  • Engages clients by connecting their business objectives with the value proposition offered by the company.
  • Creates sales proposals that include pricing, credit terms, and estimated delivery dates, leveraging knowledge of production schedules and logistics.
  • Stays informed about industry trends, product offerings, and competitive landscape by gathering relevant market intelligence.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to achieve growth targets and maintains open communication regarding customer successes and opportunities.
  • Submits regular sales reports, including daily activity logs and territory performance analyses, as required by management.
  • Monitors and manages customer accounts receivable to minimize financial risk and optimize working capital.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in outside business-to-business sales, demonstrating success in solution-based selling and customer management.
  • Familiarity with industrial gases and welding supply sales is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to utilize a consultative sales approach to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Strong understanding of macro and microeconomic trends, industry developments, and potential business opportunities.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite applications.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed.
