GBG Global Product Team

The Role

The product team is tasked with constructing and executing the roadmap that significantly influences the strategic trajectory of the organization. We frequently present at leading industry events and have garnered numerous accolades for our innovative product solutions.

As the Lead Technical Product Owner for Identity (Identity Documents & Biometrics), you will collaborate within the Identity Product team, managing the product backlog and ensuring expert execution of the product vision. You will act as the customer advocate within the Agile team. In partnership with your product manager counterpart, technical manager, and technology teams, a key performance indicator will be the assurance of high-quality, timely delivery through effective requirements gathering, robust adoption of Agile methodologies, and excellent collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Product and/or Senior Product Manager in executing the product strategy aligned with our differentiation methodology in the Identity-Proofing sector.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to comprehend the business rationale and market analysis for upcoming initiatives.
  • Drive uniform product delivery practices across teams to enhance and refine GBG's release processes for all products and services.
  • Ensure that the delivery of the product roadmap is predictable and meets the business's output expectations.
  • Work alongside the technology team to define and implement the product roadmap utilizing Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Draft and maintain user stories adhering to company standards as outlined in the Product Delivery Playbook, ensuring regular communication for clarity on requirements.
  • Refine and prioritize the Product Roadmap and Backlog.
  • Manage development prioritization through effective Backlog Management.
  • Enhance the customer/user experience within our products, ultimately reducing the volume of issues directed to our support team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, being the go-to resource for product-related inquiries concerning both propositions and technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure our products comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with Application Support and Development to guarantee the necessary platform availability for success.

Qualifications

  • Proven mastery-level experience in product management/ownership within a technology-focused organization, ideally one specializing in data or identity solutions.
  • Expertise in Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience throughout the entire product lifecycle, from conception to launch and ongoing maintenance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business and customer requirements, with the ability to translate these into actionable user stories.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to inspire collaboration among team members.
