Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the daily management of unit activities, including staff supervision and development, planning, budget, quality, and facility operations. This role will also involve coordinating patient services to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily management of unit activities, including staff supervision and development, planning, budget, quality, and facility operations.
  • Coordinate patient services to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Provide care to assigned patient population in accordance with the current State of Texas Nurse Practice Act, established protocols, multidisciplinary plan of care, and clinical area-specific standards.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff.
  • Have a working knowledge of assigned department operations, including policies, personnel, and budget management.
  • Effectively communicate with a diverse population of physicians, patients, nursing staff, management, and administration.
  • Demonstrate patient-centered/patient-valued behaviors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional nursing experience.
  • Current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing or valid Compact RN license.
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification on hire or placement in role.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from one of the following: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
