Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct administrative support to an executive administrator, including preparing administrative rules and procedures, reviewing operating practices, and coordinating office services.
  • Manage and maintain executive schedules and travel arrangements, as well as perform a variety of administrative duties that involve a high degree of discretion in interpretation, application, and execution of agency and department policies and programs.
  • Work with a wide range of agency and state administrators, legislators, private companies, and the general public on routine and non-routine problems, providing exceptional customer service and partnering with agency personnel and related stakeholders to complete assigned functions.
  • Develop and implement program or department processes, policies, and procedures, and work in a standard office environment with occasional travel required.
Requirements
  • 8 years of experience as an executive or senior administrative assistant, with 2 years of experience in administrative, leadership, managerial, or supervisor capacity.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities according to agency needs.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and prior experience working in a government program, preferably in an executive or senior administrative role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree with 3 years of experience as an executive or senior administrative assistant, with 2 years of experience in administrative, leadership, managerial, or supervisor capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience as an executive or senior administrative assistant, with 2 years of experience in administrative, leadership, managerial, or supervisor capacity.
  • Associate's degree with 7 years of experience as an executive or senior administrative assistant, with 2 years of experience in administrative, leadership, managerial, or supervisor capacity.
