Responsible for managing computer systems, associated hardware, and various operational equipment. Engages in support tasks within computer operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Exhibit a professional and respectful demeanor with colleagues and business partners.
  • Maintain awareness of the company's values, policies, and procedures, ensuring these are reflected in all interactions with team members, clients, and the public to uphold confidentiality.
  • Monitor computer consoles and peripheral devices for error notifications to identify faulty outputs, equipment halts, issues, or alerts; report these messages and concerns to the supervisor.
  • Load peripheral devices with selected materials such as tapes and printer paper for operational tasks.
  • Observe equipment to ascertain the conclusion of operating runs and consult the schedule for subsequent assignments.
  • Document the completion of jobs accurately.
  • Submit jobs for processing and verify their accuracy.
  • Ensure timely and correct transfer of data files; e.g., ACH, Debit Card, Credit Card, Share Draft, Bill Payer.
  • Assist in training other computer operators on all shift tasks and equipment operations.
  • Distribute computer-generated reports or upload spooled reports to the optical retrieval system.
  • Identify data processing discrepancies and inform the relevant personnel.
  • Record billable items on daily logs.
  • Conduct system backups and send backup files to off-site locations.
  • Assist clients with inquiries, issues, or complaints.
  • When responding to intercom calls, ensure that only authorized delivery personnel or employees are granted access.
  • Safeguard and respect company equipment and supplies, minimizing workplace distractions.
  • Learn to add, modify, delete, and restart jobs in the ISE Job Scheduler module.
  • Verify that reports and other outputs are complete and of high quality before release.
  • In addition to notifying the supervisor and a senior operator, alert the data processing vendor or maintenance staff if an error or failure cannot be resolved.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the supervisor.
  • Ensure the security of the building, computer equipment, and confidentiality of data.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and support all areas of the company and its affiliates.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong interpersonal skills, requiring a significant level of trust and diplomacy, along with standard courtesy and tact.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to manage frequent interruptions and work under constant pressure.
  • Proficient in typing, operating a personal computer, and utilizing all functions of a mainframe computer system.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the shift.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience as a Bank/Credit Union Teller is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be bondable.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Familiarity with PC hardware, desktop and network operating systems, and printers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems using available data and variables.
  • Recognize and resolve computer-related issues.
  • Knowledge of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Proficient with general office equipment.
