Role Summary:
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the security, dependability, and performance of our systems by embedding security best practices throughout the development and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Integration:
    Incorporate and embed security best practices into the complete software development and deployment lifecycle. Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security controls and automation in all facets of the software delivery process.
  • Security Automation:
    Design and sustain automated security processes, including vulnerability assessments, code evaluations, and security testing, to identify and rectify security weaknesses. Integrate security automation tools into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous security validation.
  • Incident Response and Monitoring:
    Work closely with SREs to improve incident response capabilities and develop automated mechanisms for incident detection and response. Implement and maintain monitoring solutions for security events and incidents.
  • Infrastructure Security:
    Conduct security evaluations and audits of infrastructure components, identifying and mitigating security risks. Implement and manage security controls for cloud platforms and container orchestration systems.
  • Collaboration with SRE and DevOps Teams:
    Partner with SRE and DevOps teams to enforce security measures in accordance with SRE principles and practices. Provide guidance on secure coding practices, secure configurations, and security architecture.
  • Security Training and Documentation:
    Develop and deliver training programs to educate development and operations teams on security best practices. Maintain comprehensive and current documentation on security policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or in a comparable role.
  • Strong grasp of security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with security automation tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience securing cloud environments.
  • Expertise in application security, including code review, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
