Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all operations of the donor center in the absence of the Center Manager.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture that boosts employee morale and productivity.
  • Work collaboratively with Training and Quality teams to achieve training and quality objectives.
  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to staff through the Operations Supervisors.
  • Assess and enhance operational efficiency in conjunction with the Center Manager, implementing necessary action plans.
  • Manage all personnel-related activities, including recruitment, task assignment, employee development, disciplinary measures, and record maintenance.
  • Guide the training efforts of production staff through the Training Coordinator.
  • Approve employee schedules to align with donor cycles.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and adjust inventory levels of essential supplies for the donor center's operations, placing orders as needed.
  • Ensure that center staff maintain a clean and orderly facility, with all equipment functioning properly.
  • Oversee freezer management, including monitoring plasma shipments and addressing equipment malfunctions.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as required.
  • Develop and execute donor recruitment advertising initiatives to enhance production levels.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA standards, CLIA regulations, and cGMP guidelines.
  • Supervise key personnel in donor selection, plasma collection, and record-keeping to uphold the highest production standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage donor funds and ensure the accuracy of all financial records.
  • Keep the Center Manager informed of any irregularities and propose action plans for improvement.
  • Conduct ongoing risk management assessments to minimize center liability, investigating unsafe situations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Oversee the performance of external vendors.
  • Monitor special projects for accuracy and timely completion.
  • Collaborate with the Center Manager to integrate the donor center's mission within the community.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a field such as Science, Business, Nursing, Finance, or a related discipline.
