Role Overview:

We are seeking a Business Management Specialist who is eager to embrace a challenging opportunity to advance their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, coordinate, and draft/update Advance Planning Documents (APDs) and related documentation essential for planning, execution, and operational activities in compliance with federal guidelines.
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with diverse teams, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate the APD process.
  • Organize and lead various meetings to gather, analyze, and finalize information pertinent to the APD process.
  • Stay informed on policy updates, regulations, and standards relevant to APDs and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Educate project team members and stakeholders on compliance protocols, including outcome statements and metric development.
  • Engage in discussions with federal partners and departmental representatives.
  • Contribute to procurement development processes and monitor associated progress.
  • Participate in cost allocation processes and track related progress.
  • Provide regular status updates to program leadership regarding APD development and related activities.
  • Gather documentation from business and technical personnel.
  • Independently review and prepare documents for evaluation and approval.
  • Organize materials and complete writing tasks in accordance with agency standards for clarity, conciseness, and terminology.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, public administration, management information systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing advance planning documents is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of prior experience in state government or public sector roles related to health and human services programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with government regulations concerning the advance planning document writing process.
  • Strong communication and follow-up abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, including understanding project scope, schedules, quality, change management, and financial aspects.
  • Prior experience as a business analyst or project manager.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
