Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Executive to join our Retail Sales Organization. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling total enterprise and platform-based solutions and services to our premier customers in the grocery and department store vertical. You will manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning, and lead a team in the development, presentation, and sales propositions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve assigned objectives for orders and revenue through solution expansion and organic growth
  • Develop a strategic roadmap that aligns customer needs, issues, and opportunities with industry best practices and NCR's offerings
  • Understand the customer's business objectives and ensure NCR is viewed as a strategic partner to help meet these goals
  • Create and own relationships across marketing, operations, vendor management, and IT to ensure the full breadth of NCR's portfolio is leveraged to solve business issues
  • Develop and manage account plans with measurable time-bound goals and objectives
  • Manage the sales process by identifying opportunities, managing the funnel and forecast, handling contract negotiations, and driving the deployment of solutions
  • Coordinate engagements and leverage all NCR resources
  • Ensure ongoing customer satisfaction during pre-sales and post-sales engagements
  • Communicate effectively and drive cross-functional teams to ensure customer success
  • Collaborate with customers and partners to enable them to experience greater business value through the implementation of solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline
  • 5-7 years of related business and sales experience, along with a proven track record of client management in the retail vertical and/or food distribution market, especially with top-tier clients in the grocery, department, drug, convenience, and specialty store segments
  • Background in SaaS, application software, edge, and virtualization technology
  • Demonstrated history of managing the sales process and developing strategic roadmaps that align customer needs, issues, and opportunities with industry best practices and solution offerings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including establishing credibility and trust with cross-functional teams that can impact the customer, including engineering, development, finance, legal, and professional services organizations
  • Significant business acumen and comfort with C-level concepts
  • Ability to forge and leverage exceptional internal and customer partnerships

  • Master's Degree - MBA
  • Strong Executive Presence - this role will have extensive executive visibility both internally and externally
