Orthodontic Patient Coordinator Job Description

Sutton Dental & Braces, a Benevis company, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthodontic Patient Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch customer service to patients and parents at check-in and check-out, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and service limits, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Greet patients and parents, checking them in for daily appointments and keeping them informed of progress.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy waiting area and front desk, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
  • Coordinate with Ortho Financial Coordinator and Doctors to provide same-day care opportunities, ensuring our patients receive the best possible service.
  • Assist in meeting Ortho financial targets by ensuring schedules are full and follow-up appointments are scheduled.
  • Answer incoming Ortho patient calls, providing assistance and directing calls to other team members as needed.
  • Ensure Ortho patients are compliant with appointments, sending timely communication and notifications.
  • Participate in local community events, promoting a positive image of our company and engaging with our community.
Qualifications:
  • At least one year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, retail, or hospitality.
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
  • High focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Compassion and high level of service for patients, parents, and staff.
  • Integrity, always doing the right thing.
  • Dependable and reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize work, engage in multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional manner and appearance at all times.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer.
  • Telephone skills: proper telephone etiquette and information gathering skills.
