Sales Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to lead our local Market sales effort in accordance with corporate guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of increasing client base through the implementation of specifically approved sales and marketing programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the achievement of corporate objectives by individual product line within area of district responsibility and within budgeted financial guidelines.
- Recruit, select, and direct sales staff in meeting or exceeding corporate goals.
- Monitor attainment versus forecast and take corrective action when necessary.
- Identify potential management candidates and bring to the attention of the Zone Manager.
- Manage line by line items of corporate assigned budgets.
- Project a positive image in representing the corporation to clients and the community.
- Cultivate and develop through the sales staff a referral network among the certified public accountants community, enrolled agents, and bookkeepers.
- Work with branch managers to develop mutual objectives and problem-solving issues using partnership principles.
- Ensure accuracy of weekly activity reports and audits commission and expense reports.
- Initiate, participate in, and supervise on-going training of assigned sales representatives in technical knowledge, competitive knowledge, and sales skills knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Marketing.
- 5+ years of experience in Business-to-Business Sales with assertive closing skills.
- 3+ People leadership experience in Business-to-Business Sales.
- HCM Sales Leadership Experience - Highly Preferred.
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $108,000.00 to $132,000.00 annually plus bonuses. Please note that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
