Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Client Accounting Specialist to become a vital part of our esteemed financial services team. This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility between remote work and occasional office visits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial management of client accounts, ensuring precision and adherence to current accounting regulations.
  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including transaction recording, financial record maintenance, and management of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Sage and Quickbooks for effective financial data management.
  • Guarantee compliance with GAAP accounting standards in all financial activities.
  • Administer payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Calculate, prepare, and submit sales tax returns punctually and accurately.
  • Conduct thorough monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for clients, offering insights and recommendations based on comprehensive financial analysis.
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Engage with clients to resolve any financial inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on budget development and financial strategy planning.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally in a client-facing capacity.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage and Quickbooks.
  • A solid grasp of GAAP accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and sales tax.
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
