Senior Client Accounting Specialist (Hybrid) / Competitive Salary / Established CPA Firm

We are a reputable CPA firm with nearly five decades of experience, located in the Greater Tampa, FL area, and comprised of a dedicated team of around 50 professionals. We are currently seeking a skilled Accountant with a focus on Client Bookkeeping to enhance our finance team in a hybrid capacity, allowing flexibility to work remotely with periodic office attendance.

In this position, you will oversee the financial health of our clients, ensuring precision and adherence to accounting regulations. This role offers a chance to advance in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily bookkeeping activities and maintain financial documentation
  • Utilize software such as Sage and Quickbooks for financial operations
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards
  • Accurately process payroll and sales tax submissions
  • Reconcile accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Generate financial statements and provide strategic recommendations
  • Assist in formulating accounting policies and procedures
  • Effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Proficient in Sage, Quickbooks, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience in accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processing
  • Strong analytical and financial reporting capabilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • CPA certification is advantageous
