Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part Time After School Program Assistant Instructor to join our team at Friendship Public Charter School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic and enrichment support to students in a dynamic and fast-paced after school program environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist the Group Leader in maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Help facilitate the Friendship Cares academic and enrichment curricula, ensuring that students receive a high-quality educational experience.
  • Attendance and Record Keeping: Accurately and promptly complete daily attendance records, ensuring that all necessary information is up-to-date.
  • Housekeeping and Organization: Assist with general housekeeping tasks, maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
  • Professional Development: Attend all staff meetings and recommended training programs, conferences, and courses to stay current with best practices in education.
  • Supervision and Safety: Supervise all activities to ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
  • Communication: Report any issues or concerns to the Extended Day Site Coordinator, and complete Incident Reports as necessary.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and supportive team atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 6 months of supervised experience working with school-age children under the age of 15 in a licensed Child Development Center or equivalent.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Must have received a full course of COVID-19 vaccination, unless exempt.
