Job Title: HR and Payroll Specialist

Job Summary:

The Daniel Island Club is seeking a highly skilled HR and Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources and Accounting department, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes, HRIS file systems, and providing exceptional support to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR and Payroll Coordination:
    • Update HRIS database with employee records for hires, terminations, and changes.
    • Manage communication with employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
  • Accounting and Financial Management:
    • Handle payroll accruals and conduct thorough financial reporting and reconciliations.
    • Ensure accuracy in 401k uploads and workers' compensation payroll reporting.
    • Produce advanced system reports and perform data integrity audits.
  • File and Data Management:
    • Maintain up-to-date HR files and handle administrative duties such as employment verifications.
  • Reporting/Analysis:
    • Produce and audit HRIS reports to assist in decision-making processes.
    • Analyze statistical data related to benefits, premiums, and employment changes.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, HRIS management, and payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR database management.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Background in accounting with experience in financial reconciliations and reporting.
  • Previous hospitality experience is a plus.
