The primary responsibilities encompass managing accounts payable and maintaining administrative records, assisting with customer inquiries, and providing general office support as necessary. The specific services rendered may vary based on the operational needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

· Process and verify accounts payable entries accurately. May involve assisting with cash collection and the correct posting of customer accounts receivable.

· Handle incoming calls, take customer orders, and enter them into the system.

· Support the check-in process for Route Drivers to confirm receipt of signed invoices and ensure proper payment of C.O.D. invoices.

· Investigate items returned for credit by customers and address requests for invoice copies.

· Maintain organized filing of invoices and administrative documents on a daily basis.

· Track invoices that may be missing from files or misapplied to customer accounts.

· Establish new accounts, ensuring verification of client data and accurate billing information, including resale tax details.

· Collaborate with Human Resources to assist with general HR-related inquiries at the location level, such as benefits, payroll, and workers' compensation claims.

· Oversee general services, including the procurement of office supplies, mail distribution, and maintenance of office equipment.

· Provide data and reporting to management as required.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is mandatory.

· A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting-related role is preferred.

· Previous general office experience is essential.

Skills and Abilities:

· Strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills are required.

· Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles is necessary.

· Ability to work collaboratively with others is essential.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in work assignments is crucial.

· Effective communication skills are a must.

Work Environment:

This position is based in an office setting, requiring the ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods. Tasks may involve repetitive motions on a computer.
