As our Leader of Event Operations, you will guide a skilled team to provide exceptional service and ensure every aspect is carefully orchestrated.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the Catering & Conventions Services Department. Ensure that all conferences, meetings, and group activities are executed in alignment with client expectations. Promote client events and manage function space and room block inventory to optimize hotel revenue. Ensure compliance with group contract commitments.

Team Leadership

Recommend and/or initiate salary adjustments, disciplinary actions, or other staffing-related decisions in accordance with company policies. Notify management of significant issues.

Encourage teamwork and quality service through consistent communication and collaboration with other departments.

Recommend or initiate HR-related actions as necessary.

Client Experience

Conduct tours of banquet and catering facilities and engage clients in accordance with company and property policies.

Assist clients with menu design, food and beverage coordination, seating arrangements, decoration options, etc.

Coordinate all details of conventions, including room setups, staging, lighting, audiovisual needs, traffic flow, menus, décor, entertainment, group room blocks, VIP services, and approved payment methods.

Review daily postings of charges and resolve discrepancies promptly. Follow up to ensure client satisfaction.

Operational Management

Direct the daily operations of the Catering & Convention services team, plan, organize, and assign tasks while communicating objectives. Advise staff on formal policies and procedures.


Ensure all team members are adequately trained and equipped to perform their job functions effectively.

Plan and conduct pre-event and post-event meetings with clients and catering staff. Complete forecasts, plans, and sales production reports for management.

Monitor and ensure all functions are set up, refreshed, and dismantled in accordance with scheduled times and departmental procedures.

May serve as manager on duty when required.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Financial Oversight


Assist management in preparing the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans that align with the hotel's overall objectives.

Negotiate food and beverage pricing, function space, and hotel services within approved departmental booking guidelines.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a catering or hospitality team.
