**As the inaugural Retail Operations Leader for our new location, you will play a crucial role in shaping the success of Brooklinen's expansion.** You will be responsible for assembling a talented store team and introducing innovative practices to achieve financial and customer satisfaction objectives. This position is vital and offers significant visibility, requiring frequent collaboration with our headquarters team. If you are passionate about enhancing customer comfort, leading a dedicated team, and achieving outstanding business outcomes, this role is for you.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Enhance store performance by applying established protocols and developing new strategies to achieve financial goals and elevate customer experiences.
2. Act as a true business leader: propose initiatives that seamlessly integrate e-commerce strategies and deliver exceptional in-store experiences; monitor inventory levels, sales patterns, and promotional effectiveness.
3. Advocate for and embody Brooklinen's values and principles to both customers and team members, with a strong focus on nurturing an inclusive workplace culture.
4. Cultivate a motivated and efficient team through effective recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training and development, including conducting regular performance evaluations.
5. Oversee daily scheduling and payroll management for the entire store team.
6. Collaborate with our Creative team to implement the visual merchandising strategy, ensuring our products are presented in an inspiring and brand-consistent manner.
7. Engage in the planning and execution of in-store events and promotional activities.
8. Serve as a communication bridge between customers, store staff, and Brooklinen headquarters, relaying customer insights and innovative ideas for our brand.
**Qualifications:**
1. A minimum of 5 years of management experience in retail environments, including skills in interviewing, recruiting, training, and coaching.
2. Experience in both customer-facing and operational roles, demonstrating a strong balance of skills.
3. A friendly, positive demeanor with a genuine passion for the Brooklinen brand and its mission.
4. A flexible and adaptable approach, with a commitment to adhering to health and safety protocols.
5. Knowledge or enthusiasm for interior design and assisting customers in styling their living spaces.
6. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
