Event Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Operations Manager to join our team at the Rose Quarter. As a key member of our Conversions Department, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating all activities and operations, including ice installations and event setup/takedown.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee conversion timelines, goals, quality-assurance, and safety training of crews
- Assist with recruitment, scheduling, payroll, and supervision of all personnel, including disciplinary actions
- Confirm event information from Event Management and Production teams and direct the department accordingly
- Maintain proper storage of Conversion tools and supplies as needed
- Work closely with Facility operations department to maintain equipment and ensure it is in excellent working condition
- Procure necessary equipment for the Conversions department
- Locate and correct any problems that could place the building in violation of fire and/or safety codes
- Develop training plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Support the development of departmental policies and procedures to ensure the highest possible standard of operations
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors as needed on event and non-event days
- Proactively seek out improvement projects and processes to streamline conversions
- Work closely with the Conversion overnight shift to ensure seamless interactions between crews
- Operate forklift and scissor lift as needed
- Oversee and participate in ice installations to ensure accuracy, including supervision and training of ice making crews, and maintenance of ice making supplies and equipment
Requirements:
- Strong leadership skills through busy and slow times of the year
- Organized multitasking of dealing with multiple size and type of events
- Experience in Microsoft Office software
- Strong organization skills
- Calm and professional demeanor in an often-stressful environment
- Ability to understand and overcome adversities that may arise during and outside of events
