ATA Services is currently looking for dedicated Administrative Support Specialists to assist with a temporary assignment focused on enhancing childcare assistance processing.


Compensation:
$17.00 per hour

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday; 8 am – 5 pm

Position Overview:
The primary goal of this role is to streamline the processing of childcare assistance applications. This involves thorough screening for completeness and conducting follow-up activities with clients, including providing status updates.

Temporary staff will be expected to manage a backlog of follow-up tasks within a two-month timeframe and thereafter process 1-3 applications daily.

Additionally, the role includes ensuring the accuracy of one-time payments and addressing any overpayment issues by reconciling payments to distribution calculations, completing all backlog within two months, and resolving payment discrepancies weekly.

Temporary staff will also assist with recertification processes related to expanded eligibility by closing cases for clients who have not recertified, facilitating the collection of necessary documentation, and sending out certification letters, aiming to complete a backlog of recertification activities within two months and subsequently reviewing 1-3 recertifications daily.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Screen childcare assistance applications and identify overpayments.
  2. Communicate with clients regarding missing documents or signatures.
  3. Assist in reviewing worker caseloads and ensure all necessary files are present.
  4. Support the distribution process for one-time payments and resolve payment issues.
  5. Utilize the integrated eligibility system to manage recertification processes and provide updates on application statuses.
  6. Review submitted paperwork for accuracy and interview clients to assess their childcare needs.
  7. Implement and adhere to Federal and State policies regarding childcare assistance programs.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative or clerical role.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with office equipment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
