Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of secretarial/computer training post-high school or two years of secretarial experience in a hospital or clinic environment preferred.
  • Certification/Licenses: None required.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications at an intermediate to advanced level.
    • Familiarity with medical terminology.
    • Knowledge of Human Resources and hospital policies.
    • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer relations abilities.
    • Competence in secretarial tasks, phone etiquette, spelling, and grammar.
    • Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Experience: Five years of office or administrative support experience required.
  • Nature of Supervision: Reports to Assigned Patient Care Directors.
  • Environment: Works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated, and smoke-free environment with occasional patient interactions. Exposure to VDT and may face stressful situations. Flexible working hours to accommodate schedule changes and emergencies.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods at a computer terminal, frequent use of hands for writing and computer tasks, and occasional standing, walking, stooping, and reaching. Moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 15 lbs.
