Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of secretarial/computer training post-high school or two years of secretarial experience in a hospital or clinic environment preferred.
- Certification/Licenses: None required.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Knowledge of Human Resources and hospital policies.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer relations abilities.
- Competence in secretarial tasks, phone etiquette, spelling, and grammar.
- Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Experience: Five years of office or administrative support experience required.
- Nature of Supervision: Reports to Assigned Patient Care Directors.
- Environment: Works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated, and smoke-free environment with occasional patient interactions. Exposure to VDT and may face stressful situations. Flexible working hours to accommodate schedule changes and emergencies.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods at a computer terminal, frequent use of hands for writing and computer tasks, and occasional standing, walking, stooping, and reaching. Moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 15 lbs.
