Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7PM - 3:45AM | Overtime and weekends as required.

Position Summary

The Safety Compliance Specialist collaborates with the Safety Manager to ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations while supporting the organization's profitability and productivity goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to the Safety Manager regarding safety compliance issues and preventive measures.
  • Facilitate training sessions for employees on workplace safety protocols.
  • Assist in maintaining comprehensive safety documentation and records.
  • Support the organization and execution of training programs.
  • Contribute to the development, assessment, and enhancement of safety initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong computer, communication, and instructional abilities.
  • Conduct inspections of work environments, machinery, and equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must effectively perform the essential duties outlined. The following qualifications are essential:

  • No formal degree is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, or technical documents. Capable of assisting in the preparation of reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
Technical Skills

Proficient in computer applications; experienced with Microsoft Windows, HRIS systems, and MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands necessary for this role include:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing facility, where the employee may be near moving material handling equipment and occasionally exposed to welding fumes. The noise level is moderate.
