Position Summary:
The Safety Compliance Specialist collaborates with the Safety Manager to ensure adherence to safety and environmental protocols while supporting the achievement of operational efficiency and productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and DOT standards.
- Provide guidance to the Safety Manager regarding compliance issues and recommend preventive measures.
- Facilitate training sessions for employees on workplace safety practices.
- Maintain and organize safety documentation and records.
- Support the setup and execution of training programs.
- Contribute to the assessment, enhancement, and modernization of safety initiatives.
- Prior experience with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations is preferred.
- Demonstrate strong computer, communication, and training capabilities.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution or a minimum of two years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business literature, professional journals, technical guidelines, or governmental regulations. Proficient in drafting reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in computer applications; skilled in Microsoft Windows, HRIS systems, and MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer.
Physical Requirements:

While executing the responsibilities of this role, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for manipulation, and communicate verbally.
