Volt is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Support Associate. In this role, you will:
Conduct testing and processing of biological samples, including routine and developmental specimens. The position necessitates the use of various analytical instruments, many of which are operated via computer interfaces. Precise handling and transfer of small samples are essential, including the ability to pipette accurately.
This role will involve measuring production samples and executing production processes. Successful candidates may also engage in diverse production activities.
It is crucial to adhere to established techniques and procedures within a manual workflow or while operating equipment in a laboratory setting. Effective collaboration with production staff and scientists is required, along with strong communication skills. Attention to detail and organizational skills are vital for coordinating testing and ensuring accurate results.
Work Schedule: Day shift, 4:45am to 5:00pm (12-hour shift), every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and alternating Wednesdays. (3 day / 4 day workweeks)
The ideal candidate will possess:
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or an associate degree or higher for entry-level consideration.
  • Proficiency in operating analytical instruments.
  • Dexterity and physical capability to pipette small volumes accurately.
  • Experience working in a quality laboratory environment with appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PCR testing.
  • Familiarity with manual pipetting in small volumes or automated pipetting systems.
This is a full-time contingent opportunity.

Compensation: $23.88 per hour
*The pay range for successful candidates will be determined based on various factors, including education, work experience, job location, specific duties, and certifications.
