Job Description

Position Overview:

The Operations Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing essential assistance to the section lead through meticulous information gathering, data entry, analysis, and problem-solving aimed at enhancing work planning and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders and change requests utilizing SAP in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Generate and update reports in Excel to provide status updates for change order requests.
  • Collaborate with project controls, project management, finance, and operations teams to facilitate and track the status of purchase and change orders.
  • Assist in the evaluation of change orders in line with the client's approval protocols.
  • Support the review and oversight of project invoices.
  • Help prepare and maintain a comprehensive change order log.
  • Assist in the examination of contractor closeout documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate data inputs and modifications across multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Organize financial meetings to assess change order status.
  • Prepare cost reconciliations between multiple estimates and clarify variance cost drivers.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and trade contractors.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups.
  • A background in finance, which may include a finance degree or relevant experience in budget support and forecasting for construction projects.
  • A strong customer service orientation.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a blend of remote and on-site responsibilities.
