Position Overview

This position is situated within Abbott's Diabetes Care Division. As a Paralegal, you will be an integral part of Abbott's Legal Division, working alongside other legal experts in the Commercial Legal Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to draft commercial contracts, including pricing agreements, procurement contracts, and confidentiality documents.
  • Provide legal services that align with business goals and fulfill specific responsibilities.
  • Effectively communicate legal advice to business units while managing legal risks.
  • Address basic legal issues related to assigned matters.
  • Perform legal tasks such as analysis, drafting, negotiation, and consultation.
  • Independently resolve routine legal concerns or seek supervision as needed.
  • Deepen understanding of Abbott's business environment and client areas.
  • Stay informed about legal developments affecting relevant sectors.
  • Assist senior legal professionals with agreements and other legal tasks as assigned.
  • Manage contracts within document management systems.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of basic legal principles related to assigned areas.
  • Experience in reviewing and interpreting contracts and agreements.
