Job SummaryWe are seeking a seasoned Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to bolster our talented team of attorneys. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of litigation experience and a strong understanding of the policies and procedures of our firm.
Key Responsibilities- Format and prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and correspondences, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare shells for attorneys in preparation for motions, discovery, and trial documents.
- Filing of legal documents with state and federal courts, utilizing e-filing knowledge.
- Regularly proofread documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to distribution or filing.
- Update and maintain client files in a timely manner.
- Prioritize and execute attorney-assigned tasks quickly and accurately, while being organized and detail-oriented.
- Review and ensure accuracy of vendor invoices; prepare accurate check requests and timely submit invoices for payment to clients or accounting.
- Assist in the timely submission of conflict checks and client intake forms.
- Prepare for trial by assisting paralegals and attorneys.
- Possess a strong understanding and adherence to the policies and procedures of the firm.
- Be flexible and willing to pitch in wherever needed.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and be approachable.
- Adapt well to fluctuations in workload and changes in responsibilities.
- Able to work in highly-stress situations with a demanding case load.
- Presents written communications that are concise and accurate.
- Exhibits confident and professional verbal communication skills.
- Effectively communicates with clients and vendors.
- Answers questions clearly and thoroughly.
- Is a problem solver.
- Minimum of a high school diploma required (College degree is preferred, but not required).
- Minimum of three to five years of experience as a litigation legal administrative assistant.
