Role Summary

This position is situated within Abbott's Diabetes Care Division. As a Paralegal, you will be integral to Abbott's Legal Division, working alongside other legal professionals in the Commercial Legal Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to draft commercial agreements, including contracts, pricing, procurement, and confidentiality documents
  • Provide legal services that align with business objectives and specific responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate legal advice to business units while managing legal risks
  • Address basic legal issues related to assigned matters
  • Conduct legal tasks such as analysis, drafting, negotiation, and consultation
  • Independently resolve routine legal concerns or seek supervision as needed
  • Enhance understanding of Abbott's business environment and supported client areas
  • Stay informed on legal developments affecting relevant sectors
  • Assist senior legal professionals with agreements and other legal tasks as directed
  • Manage agreements within document management systems
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of basic legal principles related to assigned areas
  • Experience in reviewing and interpreting agreements and contracts
