Position Overview
This position is situated within Abbott's Diabetes Care Division. As a Paralegal, you will be an integral part of Abbott's Legal Division, working closely with legal professionals in the Commercial Legal Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to draft and review commercial agreements, including contracts, pricing, procurement, and confidentiality documents
- Provide legal services that align with business goals and address specific responsibilities
- Effectively communicate legal advice to business units while managing legal risks
- Address basic legal issues related to assigned matters
- Conduct legal tasks such as analysis, drafting, negotiation, and consultation
- Independently resolve routine legal concerns or seek supervision as needed
- Enhance understanding of Abbott's business environment and supported client areas
- Stay informed on legal developments affecting relevant sectors
- Assist senior legal professionals with agreements and other legal tasks as assigned
- Manage agreements within document management systems
- Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Understanding of basic legal principles related to assigned areas
- Experience in reviewing and interpreting agreements and contracts
