Position Overview: We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee construction projects in a dynamic environment. This role entails managing all phases of construction projects from conception through to execution, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations. Responsibilities include budget oversight, personnel management, and ensuring quality in both new construction and renovation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full accountability for the successful delivery of all project components as per the contract with the client.
- Prepare and present monthly financial forecasts and updates, ensuring project management aligns with safety standards and financial objectives.
- Oversee daily operations and track progress against scheduled milestones.
- Assess project efficiency and manage operational costs to align with sound operational practices.
- Provide guidance and technical direction to team members to ensure project completion.
- Negotiate contracts and procure materials and subcontractor services as necessary.
- Delegate project tasks to supervisory staff and establish execution priorities.
- Coordinate procurement of supplies and maintain inventory in collaboration with warehouse personnel.
- Maintain communication with architects, engineers, and contractors involved in major projects.
- Ensure proper documentation and management of project records and procedures.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff as needed.
- Promote a robust safety culture within the team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on HVAC and DDC systems.
- Proficient in drafting proposals, scheduling, and coordinating project teams.
- Strong familiarity with construction estimating software and project management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within facilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead teams effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Understanding of contracting procedures and project management methodologies.
- Capacity to resolve complex issues collaboratively with clients.
- Basic knowledge of office management, budgeting, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Must be able to pass security background checks as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing and walking on elevated structures.
