About the Role:

Piper Companies is seeking a highly experienced Business Development Representative to join the Rare Disease Team of a global biopharmaceutical company focused on transforming the lives of individuals living with Rare Diseases.

The Business Development Representative - Rare Disease will be responsible for developing and executing strategic business plans to reach physicians and clinics in the region and exceed sales objectives by collaborating with sales leadership, market access, medical teams, and key opinion leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute strategic business plans to reach physicians, clinics, and Centers of Excellence within the local market
  • Develop a deep understanding of targeted disease states, including patient journeys, standards of care, and treatments
  • Build and maintain relationships within the payer landscape and with the payer access team to maximize access and affordability for patients using company products

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of field sales/account management experience in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or healthcare
  • 4+ years of experience in the rare disease space
  • Proven record of high sales performance and achievements

  • Competitive base salary: $150,000/year - $175,000/year
