Business Development Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Director to join our team at Mastercard. As a key member of our North America Services team, you will be responsible for driving sales, market management, and commercialization of security and decision products that drive value and offer a better experience for digital partners, merchants, and marketplaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide sales and solutioning of Mastercard services supporting the Merchant and Marketplace segments.
- Support segment knowledge sharing and training internally to educate account owners and create lead generation opportunities.
- Grow influence of Services, promote and expand reach within managed and unmanaged accounts to grow revenues.
- Identify client pain points, priorities, and needs through data analytics.
- Provide market intelligence to Account Managers, Product Management/Development, and Segment Sales.
- Participate in client business reviews, providing thought leadership.
- Responsible for building a 3x pipeline, driving revenue growth, and meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets.
- Analyze market trends, customer demand, and historical sales data to forecast future sales.
- Form relationships with Mastercard account teams and Product teams to ensure our solutions meet client needs.
- Lead and help close new sales opportunities with Mastercard account teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years selling technology solutions in the payment industry targeting merchants and marketplaces.
- Exceptional problem-solving ability and strong hunting mentality for lead generation.
- Demonstrated leadership and consultative selling experience.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and presence with stakeholders.
- Self-starter, highly organized, and results-driven.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite of tools.
- Adherence to management reporting/administrative tasks.
What We Offer
