About the Role:

Boston Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Manager - Electrophysiology to lead our Electrophysiology Clinical Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development and supervision of clinical team members within assigned geography.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Launch new system placements, including hardware, catheters, and software, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Assess and identify training needs and gaps, providing coaching and development for direct reports, and conducting final assessments for certification of new mapping specialists.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts that require resources outside the region/area, providing clinical support and education to local Electrophysiology Clinicals as needed.
  • Launch new technologies and increase efficiencies of current customers by monitoring and improving mapping utilization and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers to ensure clinical team goals, objectives, and support are aligned with regional sales strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with direct reports, Business Development Managers, Sales Representatives, Regional Managers, peers, and Area Sales Directors regarding clinical activities and changes in the marketplace.
  • Oversee travel expenses for Mapping team members, including timely review and approval of expense reports.
  • Ensure mapping team compliance with company policies, procedures, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Respond to customer needs related to products and services by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel to develop optimal solutions.
  • Provide ongoing training and development of Electrophysiology clinical team members and facilitate and manage company-sponsored training and events.
  • Perform progressive reviews during regular field visits and formally during corporate mid-year and annual performance review process.
  • Assure that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained to ensure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
  • Establish and promote a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
  • May lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals, guiding, coaching, directing, and developing direct reports, and driving those practices throughout their organization.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs, and/or operations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including federal and country-specific regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 7 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers, including all BSC divisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of local Electrophysiology customer base.
  • Electrophysiology certification and demonstrated aptitude in Electrophysiology therapy knowledge for implants and device support.
  • Demonstrated leadership/credibility within local team.
  • Ability to manage conflict effectively and effect change.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Must be energetic, organized, determined, and goal-oriented.
