Our Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line offers a comprehensive range of services, including specialty outpatient clinics, addiction treatment, and inpatient care.
Key Position Highlights:
As a psychiatrist within our organization, you will be supported by a dedicated team and have access to extensive resources, including:
- Collaboration with a network of five hospital-based clinics that handle over 80,000 visits annually.
- Coordination of care with primary care providers.
- Support from a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, nurses, and social workers.
- Access to specialty programs.
In your role as an outpatient geriatric psychiatrist, you will contribute to our geriatric mental health specialty track, enhancing collaborative relationships with primary care and neuropsychology specialists. The geriatric mental health team comprises specialty nurses, licensed social workers, and psychiatric providers. Key program components include eConsults, outpatient therapeutic interventions, and the potential for expanding service reach.

Core Responsibilities:
- Consult with healthcare providers to manage the behavioral health needs of patients.
- Engage patients and their families to create effective treatment plans.
- Lead educational initiatives on psychiatric topics for staff.
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Qualifications:
- MD, DO, or equivalent foreign training required
- Preferred completion of a geriatric fellowship
- Board eligible/certified with ABMS or AOA
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Meet criteria for credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable

Medium Work:
Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently.
